Extend a helping hand : Alliance Française Halifax Annual Fundraising Campaign

Campagne annuelle de collecte de fonds de l’Alliance Française Halifax : « Coup de Pouce »

Alliance Française Halifax (AFH) is a non-profit organization focused on promoting francophone cultural and linguistic values, providing high quality French language programs and connecting with the community. Each fall, AFH organizes its annual fundraising campaign to strengthen its activities, to fulfill its mission and to continue to work to promote the linguistic and cultural values of the Francophonie.

Due to the COVID19 crisis, AFH is undertaking a new approach for its 2020 annual fundraising gala. Under the theme Extend a helping hand, the association is seeking donations to create a grant program for those wishing to learn French, but who are blocked by financial limitations.

The totality of the donations will go to the new Helping Hand Grant Program.  

The month-long campaign featured a virtual event with activities and good cheer on Thursday, Nov 19 from 6:30 pm  to 8:30 pm  and a lottery with Gifts Baskets to win.

Chaque automne, Alliance Française Halifax (AFH) organise son gala de collecte de fonds afin de renforcer ses activités et l’accomplissement de sa mission et ainsi de continuer d’œuvrer à la promotion des valeurs linguistique et culturelle de la Francophonie.

Dans le cadre de sa campagne de collecte de fonds annuelle, l’AFH lance une nouvelle formule. Dans le contexte de la COVID19, le public est invité à donner un coup de pouce pour créer un programme de subvention destiné à ceux qui désirent apprendre le français mais qui n’en ont pas les moyens. « Il n’y rien de mieux que d’aider ceux qui en ont besoin.

Cette campagne de dons se déroulera du 1er au 30 novembre 2020.

Les dons iront intégralement au nouveau programme de subvention Coup de Pouce.

Une loterie est aussi organisée pour tenter de gagner un panier-cadeaux de produits généreusement offerts par des commerces et festivals locaux.

De plus, pour remplacer le gala traditionnel, un événement virtuel autour d’un verre avec des activités et des divertissements a été organisé le jeudi 19 novembre de 18h30 à 20h30.
