As a local non-profit organization with deep roots in our community, Alliance Française Halifax is proud to raise funds for the Coup de Pouce Bursary Program and to make pursuing French language learning accessible to those with financial limitations.

Since its inaugural year (2020), donations have helped 40 French language enthusiasts of all ages.

"I applied for Coup de pouce while I was unemployed, and this support made it possible to take a course to improve my language skills, something that was an asset in the hiring process for my current job with a crown corporation." - Alison Z., October 2022

As recipient of the Coup de Pouce Grant, I would like to say that the grant was both helpful and accessible. It alleviated financial barriers while providing an opportunity for my daughter to continue learning the French language.” - Tahirah S, mother of Ta'nyrah S. (10 years old)
