Since its establishment in Halifax in 1903, Alliance Française has been building bridges between cultures and people through the French language. Alliance is a place for learning, for sharing, and for connecting. Our doors are wide open to welcome you and introduce you to the French-speaking world. The excellence of our language programs is widely recognized, with courses designed to meet the specific needs of learners. The Coup de Pouce (Helping Hand) Grant Program ensures that classes are accessible to all levels, all audiences, and all budgets.
Launched in 2020, “Coup de Pouce” has provided 8,700 hours of free instruction to more than 100 people. This success is thanks to you and your generosity.
