Finally, a DELF certificate can help you validate your language skills on your learning journey.

The DELF Prim is designed to children at the elementary level from the age of 7 to 12 years old. It is divided into 3 levels: A1.1, A1 and A2. The DELF Prim can be your child’s first French diploma and shows them that they can actually speak French and boost their confidence. This diploma is valid for life and recognized around the world.

The test includes themes from a child’s environment such as their family or their school or hobbies and will assess 4 components:

  • Oral comprehension: understanding a simple instruction, description or numbers.
  • Written comprehension: understanding a simple text such as a postcard or a short message.
  • Writing: completing a simple message or story or talk about themselves.
  • Speaking: 15 minute oral assessment where your child will be invited to talk about themselves, tell a story based on an image or take part in a role play dialogue.
